Quick Information for your Sophomore year...
How many credits to I need to ear this year?
At least 7 credits are necessary to be considered a sophomore, and you will need to earn at least 7 more (14 total) during this year to be a junior next year.
The credits you should have at the end of 10th grade are:
2 Language Arts credits
2 Math credits
2 Science credits
2 Social Studies credits
+ electives
What is a pathway?
Students take elective classes in their areas of interest such as culinary arts, construction, business, technology, engineering, education, healthcare, visual arts, drama, chorus, or band. When they have taken 3 classes in one pathway, they are "pathway completers". Students may complete several pathways throughout their time in high school. When can I start Dual Enrollment?
Students can begin dual enrollment during their sophomore year IF they are working on a technical program. For college classes, students must wait until they are in 11th grade (unless the student meets specific requirements). To get more information about Dual Enrollment, Click HERE!
